Vintage Shirts

Vintage DressesThere is an extensive collection of vintage shirts available and the most popular among them are the shirts from the period of 1930s to 70s. Vintage shirts of 1930s include dress shirts, European shirts and early Hawaiian shirts. In the 1940's vintage shirt collection, you can find western and early bowling shirts fabricated in gabardine. Some of the vintage shirts of 1940s are embroidered and have intricate custom details. During that period, large collar appears, which can be seen on the early Hawaiian shirts. The vintage gabardine shirt of the 1940's were designed with flap pockets and are much heavier than those of the 1950's.

The 1950's were the time when the designers develop vintage clothing with detail. The shirts of this period had smaller collars and the gabardine was lighter. The Elvis style came into existence and the Hawaiian shirts and rayon print patterns came into fashion. The bowling shirts and western shirts were mostly gabardine and early cotton versions started. During this time, corduroy and denim shirts and some silk shirts were designed and fabricated in high quality fabrics.

In the 1960's, hand stamped bowling shirts in cotton and gabardine came into fashion. Gabardine was still used to make western shirts with embroidery in multiple colors.
