coats have always commanded a good popularity among collectors of
vintage clothing. From 1920s to 1970s, vintage clothes were designed and
fabricated in different styles, fabrics and prints. With changing
fashion trends and interests of people, vintage coats also changed their
look and style. Earlier the trend was of multicolored and funky coats,
which later changed to light colors and sober designed coats .
The coats of 1950s were designed with long sleeves and neat swirled
buttons. These were made using gorgeous, charcoal grey ribbed wool.
During the 1970s, sheepskin coats came into fashion that was made using
dyed shorn sheepskin. These coats were heavily lined and fabricated cool
braided leather. During the 1960s, coats become stylish with stripped
wool and heavy stylish buttons.
Gilded vintage gowns have always been very popular among people that
are embedded with jewels, beads and rhinestones.
