meshing of loops of yarn and can be composed of any kind of fiber, yarn,
stitches or patterns for apparel industry. Knitted fabrics can be
divided into two general types: weft knitted and warp knitted.
Weft knitted fabrics
Weft knitted fabrics are the knitted fabric in which a yarn forms loops
across the width of the fabric; they can be either hand-made or machine
processed. General characteristics include fairly elastic, smooth side
is the front, good stretchability, better insulation and better
stability in construction.

Warp knitted fabrics
Warp knitted fabrics are knitted fabrics in which a series of yams run
in the lengthwise direction to the fabric. There are two major types of
warp knitted fabrics. Tricot knits are made with fine yarns and usually
have a plain or simple geometric design and raschel knits are made with
heavy yams with an intricate, lace-like pattern. General characteristics
include good abrasion resistance, good drapability, good wrinkle
resistance and soft in handle.
End uses : Lingerie, blouses, shirts, dresses, outwear, sheer
laces, nets, jackets, trousers and pantyhose.
